Working With Aiming High

Chuckle Chill Out Please enquire for dates. Chuckle Chill Out is a social group for young adults 12 -18 years old with SEN/D, (Over 18’s are very welcome but will need to be self funded) meeting regularly on a Friday evening at The Chuckle House in Stone. Come along, relax and meet other young adults and build friendships, explore different interests in a safe and supported environment. Activities are to be chosen by the young people attending and can include musical theatre, dance, music making, art and film-making. Incorporated into the sessions will also be the chance to access life skills such as cooking, meal planning and budgeting etc. if desired. Who? Aimed at young adults 16 – 25 year olds. Chuckle is able to cater for young adults with differing needs, with mild to moderate learning difficulties, but we would recommend that attendees with severe learning disabilities and complex health needs would be better placed in one of our groups that would better meet their needs. Where? The Chuckle House in Stone. Chuckle Stars: Tamworth Chuckle Stars allows children/young people to work together to devise, develop and produce/perform shows, films, music (we encourage the children to decide the direction of the planning). We also work towards Arts awards. Venue: Belgrave Community Room, Tamworth Community Fire Station. Available to: 7 - 14 year olds. Parents and carers do not need to stay. Chuckle can cater for young people with a wide variety of support needs but this activity may not be suitable for those with severe learning disabilities and complex health/behavioural needs. Support with personal care and medication is available. The venue has disabled toilet facilities, a stair climber and a ramp into the building. Chuckle Music & Mess Chuckle Music and Mess is a new pre-school music/sensory mess based session for under 5’s with additional needs and their parents/ guardians, delivered by Chuckle Productions in partnership with Aiming High. Come along and join us for a chat, a coffee and support, whilst we all have lots of fun with the children making a mess and music with our musician and specialist facilitators. The session will also introduce our unique Sound Connection approach for children, which supports the development of interaction and communication skills.  Meeting weekly at The Chuckle House in Stone. This is a free session but a voluntary contribution of £2.00 to take part would be appreciated.
