Jennie Hine

The Holistic Picture Jennie has a BSc degree in Psychology (first class, Birmingham University) and a Postgraduate Certificate of Education (Birmingham University). Since qualifying as a teacher in 2001, Jennie has undertaken a range of roles within education: class teacher; assistant Educational Psychologist; Inclusion Manager; Lead Professional on Behaviour and coordinator for the Social Emotional Aspects of Learning (SEAL) curriculum within a Primary School and teacher at The Early Intervention Unit (Dagenham) for pupils aged 4-7 years. For the past 5 years, Jennie has worked for Birmingham City Council on The Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies – UK Version (PATHS®) curriculum which develops children’s social and emotional skills. This role has included training and coaching Primary teachers to assist them in delivering The PATHS® curriculum with their own classes; writing and delivering a parent course to complement the school based curriculum as well as running networks events; liaising with school leadership teams and working directly with children within The PATHS® schools. Jennie has recently started working with Chuckle Productions – along with the rest of the team, her main objectives are to promote a holistic approach to working with children and young people and to ensure social inclusion for all.
